In the Security Specialists team, we are looking for passionate, experienced, and credible specialist sellers with a drive for developing and winning strategic opportunities that deliver end-to-end security thought leadership, driving significant customer value, and enabling transformational customer outcomes. The Specialist seller works closely with customers to identify their cybersecurity needs and recommend the best solutions from Microsoft's suite of products and services. As a Security Specialist you will build secure digital transformation strategies with customers, collaborating with different groups inside the Customer environment to successfully enable them to be more secure. You will lead consultative customer conversations and collaborate on the planning, orchestration, and execution of end-to-end Security opportunities with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell. As a Security Specialist you will be partnering with Enterprise Commercial customers within our multi-industry segment on their security journey. This role will be in Vancouver and will focus on our customers in the western region of Canada. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your sales career growth, evolve your selling skills by working with our top customers in the eastern region.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and credible security sales professional who has experienced selling cybersecurity solutions across threat protection, secure multi-cloud, and compliance to join our global team of Security Specialists. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution: Introduces how to enable secure digital transformation across workloads and collaborates with a virtual team to assess customer needs and proactively build an external stakeholder mapping to implement strategies to accelerate the closing of deals, drive consumption and licensing transactions to grow business with current and new Customers.

  • Scaling and Collaboration: Collaborates on the planning, orchestration, and execution on end-to-end Security opportunities with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell.

  • Technical Expertise: Leads end-to-end Security conversations, shares best practices and key competitor knowledge across solution areas, and evaluates opportunities to make recommendations on pursuit or withdrawal.

  • Exhibits outstanding operational excellence – including monthly/quarterly forecasting, building healthy pipeline, CRM entry and hygiene, opportunity management and virtual team orchestration.

  • Experience driving new sales and new customers using innovative approaches, leveraging joint partnership events, social selling (LinkedIn) and networking.

  • Enterprise customer level experience with cloud, security technologies (Identity and Access Management, Threat protection, Data protection, Cloud Security), and industry standards recommended

  • Sales Excellence: Leads and plans for strategic accounts in the assigned territory, does business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and manages the End-to-End Security business across the assigned territory. Completes required training and obtains relevant product and role certifications aligned to the role and workload/industry.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • 7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs) :

  • 4+ years of solution or services sales experience.

  • 2+ years of Security Sales experience.

Solution Area Specialists IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $139,100 - CAD $205,700 per year.
