The Events & Experiences team within Autodesk’s Brand & Creative organization delivers world-class experiences that strengthen engagement and relationships with Autodesk. That includes events that are live, digital, and hybrid, from customer briefings and Autodesk brand activations to our flagship conferences.

We’re looking for the next member of our Content Strategy and Operations team. In this role, you’ll report to the Manager of Content Strategy and Operations, and you’ll support content practices and help manage speaker/presenter programs and logistics. This includes working with external agencies for content operations, from calls-for-proposals to onsite presentations, as well as implementing speaker training programs that improve content outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational, logistical, and strategic aspects of the Speaker Management Program for select flagship events, focused especially on TechX, Autodesk’s annual internal technical conference that aims to unify and inspire our technical community, driving excellence and innovation in product and platform building

  • Collaborate with event operations and technology teams to manage content and speaker platforms and management tools

  • Manage event timelines and Autodesk & vendor deliverables

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for speaker experience needs, including speaker mentor programs

  • You will use expert knowledge to predict trends in program management and solve operational, logistical, and technical challenges

  • Establish procedures and train event agency support staff

  • Coordinate with team members, speakers, and vendors to establish program requirements, and work with primary team members throughout the planning process

  • Locate resources, visit sites, and collaborate on pre-event meetings to help staff make decisions about event experience

  • Project manage including partnering with all speakers and keeping the conference milestones on track pre-show, onsite, post event

  • Sending and creating scheduled/regular emails and communications needs for speaker communities

  • Continue to explore, test and optimize the speaker management processes to improve the speaker experience

  • Manage session load balancing to maintain effective occupancy rates

  • Track room logistics and AV requirements by working with operations, the conference production team and the Employee Health & Safety committee

  • Manage the online portal for receiving presentations, biographies, headshots and other documentation promptly

  • Onsite management (including management of speaker ready rooms, rehearsal environments, and community experiences)

  • Support the Manager of Content Strategy with post event reporting and award management

  • Manage pre-recording projects as needed, including creating all relevant materials, working with outside vendors, coordinating schedules, and deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ years Speaker Manager experience

  • Excellent knowledge of and hands-on experience with all aspects of event management, logistics, community management, and community experiences

  • A strong collaborator

  • Agile, comfortable with change, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment

  • A dedicated leader who is passionate about creating amazing experiences

  • Positive attitude with a collaborative teamwork approach

  • Willingness to travel

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $75,300 and $110,440. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
