Job Description:
Responsible for providing and maintaining effective customer service and satisfaction; provide information to resolve customer shipment related issues; interact with management and personnel to establish service criteria and meet customer requirements. Seeking an entry writer(s) to help us out with the following duties:
Responsibilities:
Processing Customs brokerage for air and ocean shipments that are FDA sensitive
Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and PGA’s (participating Government Agencies)
Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems
Answer both customer inquiries and inter-company inquiries
Classify goods in the harmonized tariff schedule (broad range of commodities)
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Customs Brokerage for both air and ocean shipments
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be detailed oriented
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Customs Brokerage software, experience working with Cargowise is a plus
Must be a team player
The salary range for this position is $43k to $55k depending on level of experience.
