Materials Application Engineer – Production Support Specialist

Job location: Turin area

The selected resource, assigned to a well-structured Engineering Support office dealing with Aero Engines / Gearboxes domain, will be in charge for activities related to material characterization.

Specifically, the selected resource shall contribute to plan and manage test campaigns with focus on mechanical properties, analyze the results and share the outcomes, partnering with other Departments (i. e., Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.) and directly interfacing with suppliers.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Materials/Nanotechnology/ Engineering Master Degree or similar background;

  • Broad knowledge about materials (metallic, ceramic, composite, polymeric etc) and their production processes;

  • Good knowledge and experience on characterization tests, with focus on mechanical ones;

  • Basic knowledge of fracture mechanics is considered a plus;

  • Experience with international standards is considered a plus;

  • Proficiency in English;

  • Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
