Position Summary

Located in our Tucson, Arizona facility, the Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing and production equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems.

Maintenance Technicians are also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production running.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Diagnose equipment failures, find the root cause, and communicate actions taken to the rest of the team.

  • Responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair, cleanliness, and escalation of assigned equipment.

  • Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds.

  • Use manufacturing systems effectively.

  • Work with cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime.

  • Recommend countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns.

  • Build a strong relationship with machine operators.

  • Organize and maintain a high degree of cleanliness in the maintenance area as well as performing spares inventory audits to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings

  • PLC experience

  • Experience with automation

  • Electrical experience

  • Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, welding torches etc.
