Job Summary
The Administrative Specialist is the initial point of contact for the department office. The Specialist works with the faculty graduate coordinator to maintain all graduate student records, coordinates Undergraduate Research Project (URP) program logistics, provides support to building coordinator, and lends administrative support to assigned faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Three (3) or more years related administrative experience
Relevant combination of education, training and experience
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to compose routine correspondence and report
Requires good problem-solving skills involving multiple variables in standard situations
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work with sensitive information in a confidential and diplomatic manner
Excellent planning, organizing and effective time management skills
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
Ability to anticipate and solve problems
Ability to work with a wide range of diverse internal and external constituencies

Business Hours, Monday - Friday
Starting Salary/Rate
Expected hiring range: $19.00- $21.50
