Automotive Interior Designer (Troy, MI or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.). Creating sketches and digital renderings of vehicle interiors. Selecting and sourcing materials, colors, and finishes for the interior of the vehicle. Collaborating with other members of the design team to ensure a cohesive look and feel for the vehicle. Conducting research on consumer preferences, market trends, and new technologies to inform design decisions. Creating prototypes and mock-ups of interior designs to test and refine the design. Ensuring that the interior design meets safety and regulatory requirements. Working closely with engineers and manufacturers to ensure that the design can be produced and assembled efficiently. Conducting quality control checks to ensure that the final product meets design specifications. Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Design or closely related field, and 24 months of experience as an Interior Designer or any related position in engineering design. Must have two years of experience in automotive interior design, 3D modelling, CAD, Blender, Photoshop rendering, Alias 3D modeling, Alias subdivision, Blender modeling, Blender animation. Telecommuting permitted, work may occur anywhere within the U.S. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am -- 5:00 pm.
