Oracle Principal Product Manager/Strategy in Trenton, New Jersey

This role requires deep competency in core in-bound product management skills, including:

  • Gathering requirements and collaborating on multi-release roadmaps

  • Defining detailed functional requirements

  • Working with UX teams create a compelling user experience

  • Collaborating with development teams on solutioning; afraid to get techno-functional

  • Creating and managing life-cycle of Jira Epics & Stories

  • Elaborating exhaustive acceptance criteria, to ensure high quality releases

  • Working closely with information development, to ensure new capabilities are elaborated clearly

  • Training support and customer success teams on new capabilities

Qualifications:

Must be:

  • Outstanding communicator, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present effectively (will be asked for writing samples)

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision

  • Proficient in using data analytics to make informed decisions and measure product performance.

  • Able to empathize with customer needs and able to translate these into actionable product features and enhancements. Experience working directly with enterprise customers and users to gather insights and feedback.

  • Willing to advocate for their position, especially with data

  • Passionate about innovation leveraging technology to solve customer’s problems in novel ways.

  • Able to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects

  • A proven product manager with 6-10+ years of experience and a track record of delivering successful SaaS solutions in the HR/Talent Development space

  • Comfortable working across time zones with team members and customers in other parts of the world

Should have:

  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and engage with engineering teams on highly technical concepts. Familiarity with modern cloud technologies, APIs, and integration methods

  • Understanding of HR processes, talent management, and skill development frameworks

  • Ability to manage and adapt to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Deep knowledge of the enterprise software market, particularly SaaS solutions for HR and talent development

  • Experience with agile development methodologies

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding marketplace

  • Collaborate on short and longer roadmap for delivering new Grow offering that aligns with product direction

  • Define functional requirements for roadmap

  • Work with UX to create user experience needed to meet requirements

  • As possible, validate designs with customers/users

  • Collaborate with development, to iterate on solution approach - representing customer voice

  • Work with QA teams to ensure they understand requirements and acceptance criteria

  • Drive information development teams to deliver clear and concise documentation

  • Train support and customer success groups in new product capabilities

  • Work with strategy and product marketing as needed to provide functional details

  • Actively participate in customer forums to both answer questions, and take a pulse of the customer

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
