A comprehensive Business Continuity Program is imperative for an organization to maintain critical operations, prepare for emerging risk and minimize customer and employee impact of a disruptive business event. The Relationship Manager-BCMU acts as the liaison between the Business Continuity Management Unit and key stakeholders across the bank guiding the creation, management, and sustainment of a comprehensive enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management program, ranging from program enhancements to incident management response.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Provide support, recommendations, and guidance to Business Continuity Plan Approvers, Owners and Coordinators in accordance with Business Continuity Management Unit’s Policy, Guidelines, Mandate, Operating Framework and industry best practices

  • As part of on-going continuous improvement, maintenance and compliance requirements, proactively engage with and support BCP stakeholders ensuring the on-time completion of all required testing activities with their plans

  • Work as a collaborative and strategic partner to business lines to increase their preparation for, and ability to manage incidents that may impact their business operations

  • Through ongoing discovery and collaboration, identify special projects in-line with the organizations strategic objectives that server to strengthen individual plans and the program

  • In the current hybrid working model; provide 24/7 incident management On-Call support as per schedule. Following up until the issue and/or event is closed

  • Act as a challenge agent through the plan review process delivering impactful recommendations to further bolster controls, reduce risk and improve strategy of assigned business continuity plans within the scheduled plan review window

  • Robust prioritization skills allowing you to manage competing interests in an environment of constant change

  • An inalienable sense of curiosity that enables you to find ways to better understand the portfolio you support

  • 2+ years working in the financial industry and a solid background in developing communications, reports and presentations

  • Experience working in a matrix organization leading and/or influencing cross-functional teams, including senior management
