Overview:
To provide leadership to our Canadian Region (approx. C$30m in revenue) while driving sales growth through all channels. This position has full P&L responsibilities for the entire Canadian Region, while leading strategies for growth, key client management and development, acquisition sourcing and on-boarding efforts, certain reporter relationship services, overall employee/reporter/client satisfaction, and operational optimization.
There is a requirement for this Regional Vice President (RVP) to reside in Toronto, Ontario or Vancouver, British Columbia. This role requires 35-40% travel throughout the Canada region.
What you'll do:
General Management:
Oversee all aspects of the regional business, using sound business metrics, financial analysis and practices to guide the business to enhanced growth
Provide leadership, direction and oversight of regional sales and operations activities to ensure company goals and objectives are achieved
Be accountable for the full regional P&L, with significant emphasis on growing revenue, improving gross profit, and maximizing EBITDA
Identify, source, and lead the growth of M&A efforts within the region and successfully onboard, integrate, and develop long-term growth plans for new businesses in the region
Create, grow, and directly manage all key clients, key I/C partners, and all employee relationships across the business by cultivating the Veritext values
Partner with the finance team to establish annual budgets consistent with company and regional goals; driving the region to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, and business goals and objectives
Foster a success-oriented, accountable and engaging environment within the region
Develop, lead, and maintain high performance sales and operational teams by creating intentional development and succession plans for the business
Leverage fellow business partners in our US Operations to help grow the overall Veritext business
Sales:
Deploy a sales strategy (in conjunction with EVP, Sales) which leverages client relationships, pursuit of larger litigation matters, etc.; lead all efforts around driving revenue, and increasing market share
Possess strong knowledge of all Veritext technology, products and services, to include the ability to train, develop, and coach the sales force to position these effectively in the marketplace
Increase revenue, oversee pricing strategy, driving new client acquisitions, and improve client satisfaction and retention
Work with sales leadership (dotted line reporting) to drive sales professionals within the region
Increase revenue by making sales to new clients and improve client satisfaction and retention
Mediate and resolve any escalated sales conflicts between individuals and regions
Work with EVP of Sales to identify, implement and continually assess developmental and/or performance-based plans and sales rep activity metrics
Operations:
Lead and manage the Canadian operations teams, specifically responsible for client service, scheduling, assigning, production, billing, collections, and video services
Develop a strong client service orientation in the business and deliver exceptional Net Promoter Score results
Drive operational excellence in the business by optimizing financial results, to including control of all OpEx costs
Oversee the management, recruitment, and service delivery of all independent contractors who partner on Veritext assignments
Partner with the Project Management Office and Technology teams on projects that delivery process improvement and enhanced service delivery
Collaborate with People function to deliver proactive performance management and calibration processes, employee engagement and support talent-focused initiatives that create a positive and rewarding work environment
Company-wide
Work with the EVP of Business Development and team to identify acquisition targets, to include adjacent business opportunities
Serve as a key member of the Veritext Management team
Work with other Veritext regions to maximize Veritext’s overall revenue, gross profit, and EBITDA
Who you are:
Skills and Competencies
At least 15 years of revenue generation and strategic leadership experience in a Canadian business
Seasoned sales professional and background selling personalized services
Experience with pricing, sales strategies, negotiations, and sales tactics
The ability to work with, and effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and team members at all levels
Strong leadership and managerial skills that drive results
Possesses a strong technology acumen with the ability to leverage digital solutions to optimize the business
Seasoned sales skills with emphasis on organic sales growth, pricing management, and business development
Strong negotiation skills and ability to confidently position the Veritext value proposition

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between CAN$200,000-$220,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee’s geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Veritext is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
