Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Oracle DBA to join one of Canada's top 5 banks for a 6-12 month contract to start with possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be working on numerous projects but a major part of the work will be consisting of helping with some initiatives to move data to the cloud, starting with a proof of concept on how to move the data from this massive customer information application to the cloud.

This group uses a hybrid work model - one day a week on site + one Friday a month for a total of 5 days/month.

Skills and Requirements

-Extensive experience with oracle

-Extensive experience with development as opposed to infrastructure as a DBA

-Ability to analyze/identify issues with AWR reports

-understanding of development/production processes and the flow of information between both environments

-unix/linux

-SQL PL/SQL (doing your own development as opposed to deploying someone else's scripts)

-banking/financial experience

-Experience performance tuning and writing queries null
