What You'll Be Doing

You’ll join CIBC’s Corporate Centre Technology, Finance and Human Resources & Corporate Secretary Technology team to ensure the collection of information, accurate requirement gathering, data analysis and documentation of information. As a Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, you’ll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. You’ll participate in all phase of solution delivery with focus on ideation and solution requirements in collaboration with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best in class client experience.

How You'll Succeed

  • Understanding Business Needs - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

  • Documenting Requirements - Conduct analysis of client processes, functional, reporting or data integration requirements to prepare documentation and communicate the information. As a subject matter expert yourself or by relying on other subject matter experts, provide advice and direction to internal client and stakeholders to ensure that the business requirements are appropriately defined.

  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

  • Coordination & Collaboration - Coordinate and lead cross-functional tasks or work packages. Partner with project manager, technical resources, vendors, and management to ensure accurate execution of projects.

  • Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Varicent / IBM Incentive Compensation Management System or other market leading variable compensation systems specifically related to documenting solution requirements.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and you’ve spent at least 5 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture design.
