We’re looking for a Head of Bitmoji Design to join our Product Design team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

  • Establish a compelling creative vision for Bitmoji

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the team of artists and team leads on avatar development, fashion, and content creation

  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders at Snap to make strategic decisions for Bitmoji products considering market trends, user feedback, and business objectives

  • Work closely with the product team to ensure Bitmoji products align with overarching company strategy and goals, contributing to a cohesive roadmap for production

  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve operational and quality issues for the Bitmoji content organization

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading creative teams and managing multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to build and influence relationships effectively across various levels of the organization

  • Ability to work within fast-paced, cross-functional environments, adept at overseeing multiple teams and projects simultaneously

  • Strong leadership skills and capabilities, including the ability to mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential

  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams from different disciplines to achieve shared objectives

  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with production, product design, and engineering teams across Snap

  • Skilled in identifying and resolving gaps in production workflows, with a solutions-focused approach

  • Ability to distill large projects into manageable tasks and effectively organize resources to meet objectives

  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication, and ability present to executive leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in illustration, graphic design, gaming, animation, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in a character art, illustration, gaming, or animation-focused role

  • 7+ years of experience leading or managing a team in the industry

  • A portfolio submission featuring highlights of past creative work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional skills in various design disciplines, commitment to highest quality of design and/or animation and an eye for detail

  • Previous experience in technology, or fashion-related industries

  • Previous experience in the creation of narrative content

  • Experience with digital content creation software (Maya, Photoshop, Unity, Unreal Engine)

  • Experience with AR and Lens Studio is a plus! https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/
