TEKsystems Security Tool Administrator in Topeka, Kansas

Hybrid position: onsite 3 days a week in Topeka KS / Remote work from home 2 days a week

 Description:

Seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Tools Administrator to join cybersecurity team. This role is critical in managing and optimizing the suite of security tools that protect our networks, systems, and data from unauthorized access, ensuring our business continuity and the trust of clients. This role will ensure that security infrastructure is always running optimally, with regular updates and adjustments made as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and ensuring the optimal operation of cybersecurity tools and systems. This role involves a blend of technical acumen, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to anticipate and mitigate potential security threats. translate complex information into easily understandable text.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and manage cybersecurity tools, including but not limited to load balancers, security patching, endpoint protection, and anti-virus software.

• Monitor security systems for anomalies and indicators of compromise and respond to security incidents promptly.

• Collaborate with Security Operations Center, Network Security teams, IT and network teams to implement security measures and best practices across the organization.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.

• Mentor others as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Scripting Proficiency: Skill in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, aimed at automating tasks and analyzing threats

  • Possession of industry-recognized certifications, including but not limited to Security Plus and CompTIA, is highly desirable
