Position:Surveillance Officer
Reports to:Surveillance Supervisor
FLSA Status:Non-Exempt
Position Summary:Surveillance officers monitor casino activity to detect theft, cheating and suspicious activities. Surveillance officers enforce gaming laws on the property and see to it that the casino\'s rules and regulations are followed.
Essential Duties:
- Ensures protection of casino property, employees and patrons and monitors suspicious activities, such as theft or cheating.
- Oversees surveillance of clients and cash transactions, identifying suspicious activity and takes steps to investigate.
- Observes all areas of the Casino.
- Interprets and applies all applicable regulations and laws for gaming, and enforces compliance throughout the organization.
- Logs all incidents and writes reports on security, safety, and policies to ensure client safety daily.
- Responds to emergencies, fire alarms, and other physical concerns.
- Completes all necessary paperwork generated during his/her shift.
- Checks equipment functions hourly.
- Ensures communication of daily activities to oncoming shifts.
- Notifies Manager of all infractions.
- Retains and files audio and video records of casino activities in the event that the records need to be used for investigations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Previous gaming experience preferred.
*Once you have been employed in Surveillance for Tonkawa Enterprises you cannot be employed in another department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and current/potential clients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
