Description

Key responsibilities

  1. Directly manage a medium sized team responsible for effective execution of Dr. Ci:Labo programs in alignment with category strategies driven efficiently through the most efficient technologies using aligned work processes.

  2. Stakeholder management, work closely with Local and Regional stakeholders to ensure correct project definition, prioritization, alignment on outcomes & capacity planning.

  3. Technical mastery on Skin care Packaging is a must to interface with the cross functional stakeholders, having excellent communication skills is critical.

  4. Review and Approve Technical Documents and Specifications.

  5. Work with local/global/regional leaders and peers to ensure that the priorities are properly represented and long-term Packaging Vision is developed.

  6. Build a strong network with Packaging Suppliers with the intent of identifying implementation opportunities and manage technical relationships to ensure continuous value to Kenvue.

  7. As an industry expert, work with the team & internal stakeholders on identifying & implementing industry best practices and work processes. Representing Kenvue in Industry forums from time to time, as required.

  8. Leverage digital tools such as CAD, and/or modelling & simulation in projects.

KPIs

  1. Strong understanding of packaging development work process and technical strengths to independently deliver package development activities and risk assessments.

  2. Experience of managing teams is required.

  3. Bilingual (Japanese/English) communicates (both written and verbal), to convey complex information clearly and logically.

  4. Must be able to understand, respect and work within the cultural diversity of the global environment.

  5. Experience working with external functions, such as Marketing, Formula R&D, Procurement, Plant Manufacturing, Supply Chain, to enable timely delivery of new initiatives.

  6. Relationship building, vendor technical relationship management experience and project management experience is required.

  7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, seeking guidance as required.

  8. Ability to continuously develop self for technical and organizational skills as well as empowering team on people dev.

  9. Able to adapt and re-prioritize to changing priorities.

Qualifications

Requirements

Education: MS in Packaging technology/Mechanical / Polymer, Plastics or Chemical Engineering

Work experience:

  • 8 years of new package development/Technology transfer in Consumer Packaging goods, cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical companies.

  • People management

  • Stakeholder management - bridging between Japan and Regional/Global offices
