We are looking for an exceptional Business Analyst who is passionate about data and the insights that large amounts of data sets can provide. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen that enables him/her to dive deep and provide the right level of operational support for business teams to make decisions. He/she will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. The successful candidate will work in lock-step with Data scientists, Business analysts, Finance Teams, Product Managers and other stakeholders across organization to assist Events and Deals Business and Finance teams at JP.

Key job responsibilities

• Own design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses and dashboards

• Manage the business metrics reporting process and support ad hoc deep dive requests

• Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale for long term

• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement advanced analytics algorithms that exploit our rich data sets

• Own JP Events and Deals reporting mechanisms (Page zero in MBRs, QBRs, OP/3YP)

• Act as key core team member with goal to launch initiatives to reduce Cost to Serve at JP

• Communicate verbally and in writing to business customers / leadership at JP, that includes sharing insights and recommendations

This is one year contract role*

Tokyo, 13, JPN

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

• Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
