Amazon Marketing Manager, Seller Marketing, JP Marketplace in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Do you want to challenge experiencing one of the biggest drivers of growth in Amazon Japan? We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Marketing Manager to design marketing solutions for JP Marketplace.

You will be responsible for seller communications, audience targeting, optimizing open/conversion rates, and ensuring consistency with global branding guidelines across all messaging. Core responsibilities include increasing awareness of seller programs and product offerings, including new launches and service updates, while refining seller communications to deliver an optimal customer journey. You will work closely with global teams to ensure value propositions, key features, and processes are clearly communicated to sellers in the Japanese market, developing clear communication plans that target specific behaviors through a one-to-many communication approach.

This role will be measured through tracking and analyzing metrics related to awareness, launches, engagement and other key indicators to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement. You will be required to think analytically and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities. Effective cross-functional communication across domestic and international teams is essential. Success in this role requires thriving in an ambiguous environment where you must develop and implement seamless seller communications to deliver outstanding experiences for sellers. Being hands-on, detail-oriented, and possessing relentlessly high standards are essential qualities for this position. Key job responsibilities

・Develop integrated marketing communication plans to effectively drive awareness of JP Marketplace seller services/programs through timely, targeted outreach

・Ensure all seller email communications align with global guidelines and conduct regular reviews of seller email as a Seller communication bar raiser

・Gather and adapt best practices to bring sellers to their appropriate and beneficial programs and services.

・Oversee aspects of marketing campaigns: messaging, creative elements, content and design, launch, optimization, and reporting. Set goals and reporting to track metrics on seller awareness including email open rate, open to click and identify areas for improvement.

・Develop marketing and communication plans by partnering with sales, marketing, product, and other teams to create the optimal onboarding experience for new and existing sellers.

・Prioritize and balance needs across seller experience, performance, and operational workload.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements

  • Experience with onsite marketing, lifecycle marketing and digital advertising

  • Japanese (Fluent) and English (Business)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HTML, XML, and Excel

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to establish strong partnerships with demonstrable results

  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email (Pardot, Sonar), web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation and reporting.
