The role

Position Summary:

The Inside Sales/Operations Manager (Individual Contributor) at SoftwareOne in Tokyo, Japan is an outstanding and ambitious role. You will collaborate with Account Managers and Sales Leaders to build and nurture strong customer relationships, leading to increased sales revenue and growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive proactive new sales, renewals, and overall opportunity management: Efficiently implement strategies to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.

  • Establish and expand relationships: Build and nurture relationships with key executives and decision-makers within each customer and territory.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop comprehensive account plans that increase opportunities and drive sales activity with customers and partners.

  • Grow and maintain customer relationships: Ensure smooth execution in maintaining existing customer and partner relationships.

  • Handle day-to-day customer requests and administration: Handle daily customer inquiries and general administrative tasks with validated efficiency.

  • Develop strong product knowledge: Stay ahead of industry trends through continual training and research to provide exceptional customer insights.

  • Act as a key resource for competitor analysis: Identify competitive positioning and provide actionable insights.

  • Facilitate accurate customer onboarding: Coordinate the customer onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience.

  • Manage financial aspects such as credit limits and payment terms for customers.

  • Coordinate and follow up with sales opportunities and pipelines to ensure targets are met.

What we need to see from you

  • Full-time work rights in Japan.

  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in Japanese is required, along with working proficiency in English.

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional sales experience.

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from a four-year college or university is desirable.

  • Customer service experience: Preferred for those who have a background in customer service.

  • Driven and motivated: Should possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire to achieve and surpass goals.

  • Diligent: Skill in breaking down projects into smaller, manageable tasks.

  • General knowledge of technology solutions is preferable.

  • Microsoft licensing knowledge: Ideal candidates will be proficient and knowledgeable in Microsoft licensing programs and product stack.
