Google Industry Manager, Agency Partnerships, Large Customer Sales in Tokyo, Japan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building relationships with Agency executives.

  • Experience as a project lead.

  • Cross-functional understanding of media businesses and operations.

  • Effective business judgment and problem-solving skills.

Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As an Industry Manager, you will work with Account Management, Planning, and Creative teams of key advertising agencies in Japan. You will be involved in the upstream planning process for clients’ marketing and communication by making the most of Google’s resources and tools. You will help agency teams incorporate Google platforms, products, and solutions to their planning process in order for them to truly address clients’ business challenges and grow their business.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

  • Collaborate with Agency partners to help them form marketing solutions. Promote upstream marketing and communication planning processes for their strategic brands leveraging Google's digital capabilities.

  • Lead and manage business projects associated with both internal and external stakeholders (i.e., cross-functional teams, Large Customer Sales pods, and agencies’ Account Management, Planning, and Creative divisions, including executive level members).

  • Lead discussions with agencies and support their pitches to strategic clients.

  • Establish and nurture C-level relationships with Agencies, contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Google’s products and services.
