The Protein and Synthetics Characterization team within Attribute Sciences is currently seeking a Senior Scientist at the Thousand Oaks facility with expertise in higher order structure assessment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the biophysical characterization of our protein therapeutics using biophysical techniques such as infrared spectroscopy, circular dichroism, differential scanning calorimetry, differential scanning fluorimetry, nuclear magnetic resonance, for product characterization, comparability and similarity studies to support regulatory filings. Other activities include technology development, non-routine investigations, complex data analyses, authoring of technical documents, technical presentations, and establishing acceptance criteria in support of process and platform methods. In addition, the position requires demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team with other scientists as well as engaging with external partners/collaborators, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Authoring relevant sections of CMC regulatory filings

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Scientific experience OR

Master’s degree and 3 years of Scientific experience OR

Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD [and relevant post-doc where applicable]

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Biochemistry / Biophysics / Structural Biology or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience

Strong background in structure elucidation, stability and folding of proteins

Understanding of biophysical methods for protein higher order structure characterization

Basic understanding of GMP requirements

Strong written and communication abilities

Aptitude to collaborate with project teams in fast-paced team environments

Work well with cross-functional teams, across various geographic locations, in different time zones

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
