Description

We are seeking a skillful candidate with prior experience in Internal Auditing and proficient communication skills. If so, you may be the right candidate for this role via Robert Half. A permanent role, the Internal Auditor opportunity is based in The Woodlands, Texas. Major responsibilities

• On a regular basis, you will execute follow-up on both open and past due internal audit and SOX observations

• Conduct internal audits and SOX testing; to include compliance with policies and procedures and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the internal control structure

• Create audit observations and recommendations to management both verbally and in writing

• Assist with the building of multiple audit programs by resolving the objective, scope, and work program of individual audits

• Efficiently relay project status to members of the team

• Help coordinate third-party compliance assessments and audits

• Pinpoint key risks and integrity controls by mapping and recording processes

• Complete special research and projects when help is needed

Requirements

• CPA an added bonus

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications

• Public audit or consulting experience; corporate internal audit experience also acceptable

• Solid understanding of SOX

• 3+ years of public audit or consulting experience; corporate internal audit experience also acceptable
