Description

A client of ours in the construction industry is in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team located in The Woodlands, Texas. This role involves managing and maintaining the accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of invoices, and maintaining good vendor relations. Responsibilities:

• Daily entry and coding of invoices into the accounting system

• Review AP invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment

• Analyze and resolve any issues with outstanding AP vendor invoices/statements

• Monitor AP aging report weekly and select invoices for payment

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and promptly respond to all inquiries

• Assist the Operations team as needed

• Maintain and organize all accounts payable related files such as invoices, new vendor forms, W9s, lien waivers, subcontractor agreements, certificate of insurance, etc.

• Distribute incoming mail as needed

• Support the month-end close process under the direction of the AP Manager

• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge in Account Coding

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Capability to execute Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge in Accrual Accounting

• Ability to conduct Auditing

• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH)
