The Master Scheduler is responsible for maintaining the MPS and MRP process to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.

To coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation to complete on time the customer order.

Responsibilities

Master Scheduling

  • Serves as liaison with sales administration, procurement and manufacturing areas.

  • Collaborates with these departments to define schedules that allocate resources and priorizations in order to meet customer needs.

  • Compares firm and forecast orders with available inventory; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.

  • In daily contact with Procurement Coordinator and Sourcing to ensure supplier’ deliveries on time for MPS while reducing inventory coverage days.

  • Quarterly review and maintenance of MRP Parameters coordinated with Sourcing Director and Procurement Coordinator to be adapted and aligned with market situation, customer and manufacturing requirements, etc.

  • Ensure coordination with Planner to execute the Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Identify gaps and drive solutions on production performance relative to the requested production schedule.

  • Integrates customer orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.

  • To prepare Short Term Forecast with Planner, Sales Administration Manager and Procurement Coordinator and to follow up every week.

  • To use PDCA cycle in order to ensure key items of the month (to control acknowledged dates, ageing of the delay, most inventory valued items,etc).

Executive Sales & Operations Meeting

  • With Supply Chain Manager, prepare supply decisions to be taken during the Executive Sales & Operations Meeting

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in the implementation of decisions taken

Inventory Management

  • Analyze inventory items based on Categorization (ABC target levels) to ensure high service levels, i.e., product availability and implement action plan to meet corporate inventory targets.

  • Categorize Inventory items (ABC, frequency/value) and take actions to meet inventory target.

  • Identify and implement action plan to improve availability and optimize inventory.

  • Develop inventory targets and to manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both cost and unit basis.

  • Maintains master data for all raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods.

  • Timely reporting of Inventory key metrics (Excedent stock, Obsolete 100% depreciated, Net inventory, Inventory Forecast M+123, Coverage, etc).

  • Drive Inventory Committee (QRQC Excedent, Coverage per project, Top 10 Net inventory, 100% provisioned items, etc) with Sourcing, Engineering, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.

Candidate Profile

  • Engineering or Supply Chain Management education, APICS certification, etc.

  • Minimum 3 years in Supply Chain Planning role or Inventory Management role.

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Concepts, especially Planning, S&OP and Master Production Schedule (MRP II)

  • Advanced analytics skills

  • Good command of MS Office programs and experience with ERP

  • Fluent in Spanish and intermediate level of English
