Robins & Morton Group Traveling Drywall Superintendent #2024-FL-007 in Tampa, Florida

Must have the following to apply:

  • Five (5+) years of experience as a Drywall Superintendent
  • Experience within the healthcare and/or commercial construction industry, with a preference for relevant healthcare construction experience
  • Applicants should have direct-hire construction experience with a GC/CM or a Drywall Subcontracting company
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Competent computer skills
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Programs
  • Ability to read and understand project schedules and project reports to develop pre-planning opportunities

Job Description:

The Drywall Superintendent is responsible for field supervision of craft and/or subcontractors for the drywall scope of work. The Drywall Superintendent oversees daily drywall and/or interior construction activities at the work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project.

  • Supervise daily drywall activities
  • Maintain knowledge of work processes and tools within drywall scope
  • Set priorities for craft and coordinate work activities with disciplines/Subcontractors
  • Assess workforce, material, tool, and equipment needs and arrange for items to support project needs
  • Analyze productivity trends and make adjustments to work activities to optimize production
  • Review cost reports and projections; take action to manage job costs to levels within the contract budget
  • Assist in development of and maintain project schedules by studying plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements
  • Develop solutions for routine problems using defined processes and experience and develop and implement work-around and recovery plans
  • Enforce jobsite safety to comply with OSHA regulations and RandM's Safety Program
  • Ensure work is installed per the requisite quality standards
  • Maintain daily logs to document jobsite activities and events
  • Provide jobsite leadership and direction
  • Set day-to-day direction for drywall craft employees to support project goals
  • Manage performance of employees through task assignments, ongoing skill assessment, and coaching
  • Provide for and coordinate required workforce, materials, tools, and equipment

Days and Hours:

Full-Time position. Complete work schedule will be discussed with applicant.

Pay:

$30.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits are offered.
