Description

Paralegals directly support lawyers and occasionally oversee other legal staff, such as file clerks or legal secretaries. Paralegals should have strong analytical, communication and organizational skills, as well as computer and technical knowledge. In some cases, law firms prefer three to five years of legal experience in a law firm or other corporate legal department.

Your responsibilities

Must know heavy Scheduling of hearings, depositions, trials, mediations, billable hours and more.

Assist with e-filing

Draft documents, discovery, trials

Requirements

• 3+ years of previous legal work experience preferable in Commercial Litigation

-Billable hours

• Organizing and tracking files for important transactions or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database

• Foundational knowledge in e-Filing

• Schedule Depositions, hearings, mediations

• Expertise in Schedule Appointments

• E-file experience

• Experience with Draft Legal Documents

• Drafting legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas; transactional documents, such as trusts, wills, contracts and real estate leases; and closing documents

• Conducting routine discovery

• Experience assisting lawyers in preparing for transactional closings, depositions, hearings, trials and conferences; completing many administrative tasks, including, working on individual cases or transactions

• Investigating the factual evidence of a transaction or case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams to display information
