Citigroup Learning and Culture Project Manager - Business Optimization in Tampa, Florida

Citi Learning and Culture works to drive business performance by connecting employees with relevant and innovative learning experiences when and where they need them. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with team members to ensure successful completion of work across the entire team. The role will have involvement in multiple projects across the team including companywide strategic initiatives which are supported by the senior management of Citi. In addition, the role will require independent thinking and consultation skills in order to work with various partners to create project vision, communicate with key stakeholders, develop communication and change management plans and manage project deliverables. This role will be primarily focused on business optimization efforts within our newly created Learning Implementation Services organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple client groups and may require differing PM approaches to planning and ongoing execution.

  • Lead process standardization and improvement efforts to inventory legacy requirements and ways of working and collaboratively design globally standard processes for a new organization

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for several initiatives simultaneously.

  • Provide leadership for broad project team by influencing team members to meet project goals, adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones.

  • Provide consultation and thought partnership to project team and functional leadership, especially in planning stages to clarify the business case, expected results, and how success can be measured.

  • Continuously upgrade the PMO's methods, tools, and engagement model by acting as a thought partner to the PMO lead and proactively gathering external best-practices with an eye for simplification.

  • Coaches project team members on basic project management practices to help build these skills more broadly in the organization.

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues and communicate them to the Project Management Office (PMO) Lead and project sponsors/stakeholders.

  • Participate in and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluations by appropriate key stakeholders.

  • Proactively identifies and escalates risks to timing and execution as needed.

  • Support for special projects and executive requests as needed.

  • Applies lessons learned from recent projects to future projects.

  • Promotes good working relationships across a project, cultivating the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project's results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years professional work experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment - HR, Learning, or Organizational Development preferred.

  • At least 3 years of experience in process improvement or business optimization as a dedicated project lead or consultant using standard methodologies and tools (Lean, Six-Sigma).

  • At least 3 years of experience communicating at the executive level with a proven ability to synthesize data, clearly communicate complex information, and do so with a high degree of polish and attention to detail.

  • At least 3 years of change management experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at one time.

  • Ability to foster positive team dynamics, build relationships, and manage stakeholders effectively - the ideal candidate will have high emotional intelligence, be adaptable to change, and get work done collaboratively.

  • Self-starter capable of performing effectively in complex situations with limited guidance.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem resolution skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - advanced PM tools a plus.

  • Proficient in process mapping tools including Visio, Decision Matrices, RASCI Charts, etc. to capture processes consistently.

  • Strong execution orientation and ability to drive results and influence without authority - the ideal candidate will be able to effectively balance the ability to challenge and consult with the need to drive progress.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree

  • Lean or Six-Sigma certification preferred

  • Change Management certification (ex. Prosci) preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
