Job Title: Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Installer to join our team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical work on vehicles, with the ability to read blueprints and perform electrical wiring in vehicles. This is a long-term temporary position where the installer will be working at a customer's site.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble automotive trim and reinstall without damage.

• Disassemble automotive body panels, bumper covers, and reinstall without damage.

• Perform factory-like installations of perimeter lighting, lightbars, siren controllers, and speakers.

• Read schematics, installation diagrams, and instructions.

• Perform quality installations of push bumpers, vehicle partitions, vehicle storage boxes, computer docking stations, and other police vehicle-related equipment.

• Understand DC voltage and installation of 12-volt DC powered equipment such as lighting, siren controllers, speakers, relays, controllers, computer equipment, and battery chargers.

• Understand DC electrical connections and connectors, and properly route and/or fabricate wire harnesses in a clean and professional manner.

• Utilize knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment including watt meters, connector types, and usage (preferred but not required).

Requirements

• Prior experience working on vehicles, including mechanical and electrical work.

• Experience in installing electrical and communication systems.

• Knowledge of using power tools and hand tools.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Shift and Pay

• Pay: $21 per hour

• Shift: 7:00am-4pm Monday-Friday

Work Environment

You will work primarily at the customer's site. The job requires standing and bending throughout the workday and involves working in non-air conditioned and/or outdoor environments. The dress code is casual, and you will need to use various tools such as impact drivers, sockets, wrenches, wire strippers, and crimpers.
