Description

As the Data Center Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our data center facilities, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will lead a team of skilled professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain system architecture and building infrastructure to support our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data center, including power and cooling systems, network infrastructure, and physical security.

• Develop and implement strategic plans for system architecture and building infrastructure to support business growth and scalability.

• Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to data center operations and security.

• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement, maintenance, and support services.

• Develop and maintain documentation for data center procedures, configurations, and inventory.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address issues or potential risks proactively.

• Plan and execute data center expansion projects, including capacity planning, space optimization, and equipment upgrades.

• Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex issues and incidents, collaborating with internal teams and external partners as needed.

• Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, system architecture, or building infrastructure management.

• Strong understanding of data center technologies, including server virtualization, storage systems, networking protocols, and security principles.

• Proficiency in data center management tools and software, such as DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) and monitoring systems.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CDCMP, CDCP, CCNP, ITIL) are a plus.
