Citigroup Application Manager - VP-Contractor Conversion in Tampa, Florida

We are looking for an Application Manager with extensive experience in Product/App Management, Governance, Risk & Controls. The Application manager will serve as a central point of contact with a holistic view of the application's state, employing a variety of tools, strategies and analytical methods while working with stakeholders internally & externally (where relevant) to ensure a stable, compliant and reliable application infrastructure. Application Manager is responsible for a centralized end to end governance service established for the maintenance of a portfolio of applications to ensure a consistent, compliant and relevant technology infrastructure that delivers according to Citi business and technology objectives. The Application Manager needs to understand and influence Enterprise & application architecture, while contributing to Citi’s and GFT’s Application Portfolio Governance critical and strategic Goals and Objectives.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Responsibilities:

The Applications Manager is the point of contact for organization stakeholders of each application assigned in the portfolio. This role drives key development, maintenance, compliance, risk & controls, stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements initiatives throughout the lifecycle of the assigned applications.

  • Manages assigned portfolio with the focus on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations.

  • Ability to handle a varied portfolio applications (6+ apps – likely more)

  • Mentor other junior or newer Application Managers

  • Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact.

  • Effectively tracks management and resolution of reported compliance and vulnerability issues.

  • Partners with various SMEs and teams in business and technology organizations to ensure application stability and compliance.

  • Participates in Audit deliverables for applications and acts as default contact to auditors.

  • Ensures the managed applications participate in all in-scope compliance deliverables without risking overdues.

  • Partners with technology and business stakeholders to review, develop and deliver compliant application contingency planning to ensure availability to users.

  • Ensures adherence to GDPR data retention regulations including ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly.

  • Partners with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize maintenance and support tooling requirements.

  • Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes.

  • Defines scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution.

  • Ready to assume responsibility for all End-to-End initiatives relating to application governance - and document postmortems and lessons learned.

  • Actively participate in the GFT Application Manager community of practice & regularly contribute lessons learned to the Application Manager Handbook

  • Provide Status Reporting along with associated Risk, Issue, Dependencies etc to various governance forums as required and guided.

  • Key Stakeholder management with various internal customers, partners, and internal and external suppliers

  • Collaborate and work with global teams to achieve GFT objectives.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Total experience in Product, Application or Project Management.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Support or Development

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Product or Application Management.

  • Excellent Project/Product/Lifecycle Management skills.

  • Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications.

  • Good all-round technical skills

  • Ability to work in challenging, demanding and strict regulatory timelines.

  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Exposure to various SDLC methodologies

  • Ability to plan and organize workload.

  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.

  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools.

  • Strong motivation skills.

  • Proactive and strategic approach to remediation of reported and anticipated compliance and vulnerability issues

  • Champion a risk mindset across all activities

  • Continuing focus on data quality – correct, complete, current.

  • Active partnership between technology and governance SMEs

  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities and issues and communicate impact to stakeholders.

  • Align remediation to severity and target date.

  • Address issues at earliest point of awareness – target remediation dates 60/90 days ahead of official target date

  • Connect regularly with application technology and business teams to understand application roadmap and changes and update inventory data as required.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
