The Opportunity.Aero Precision is looking for a high energy, detail-oriented State and Local Tax Manager.
The Job.
Lead State and Local tax compliance
Ensure accurate and timely filing of all local state returns
Perform Nexus analysis to ensure tax compliance is met in each State.
Monitor sales and transactions to forecast potential tax implications in each State
Act as a subject matter expert for all state and local income tax matters as they relate to business operations
Assist with state tax provision and preparation of SALT related accruals, journal entries, and related account reconciliations
Assisting with the implementation of process improvements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA strongly preferred
5 – 7 years of experience with state tax
Experience with tax determination engines (Avalara)
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to lead a team
1-3 years of supervisor experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail
Proactive
Flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Proven ability to multitask efficiently
Experience in ERP systems, SAP strongly preferred
