The Role The Senior Manager, Technology Finance position will serve as a strategic partner and primary point of contact between the Technology organization and the TrueBlue Finance Leadership team, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology solutions. S/He will lead the financial planning and analysis activities of the TrueBlue Information Technology team. This position will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer, Technology Leadership Team, business leaders and finance leadership to ensure technology investments are on pace to meet short-term and long-term return on investment goals. The key responsibilities for this role are: Strategic Initiative Support - Partners with technology, business, and finance leaders to ensure technology strategic initiatives are delivering expected value. In collaboration with the corporate transformation office will track key metrics to ensure spending is aligned with planned investment and will proactively recommend opportunities to adjust spending to accelerate successful projects and slow or stop projects that aren't delivering value. When new projects are identified, s/he will work across departments to understand costs, benefits, and risks to develop the business case. Short and Long-Term Planning - Leads development of collaboratively built quarterly, annual, and multi-year financial forecasts for operating and capital expenses. Working with technology leadership, s/he will ensure plans are aligned to corporate strategy and cost models with include base spend, new initiatives and enterprise cost management. Reviews the costs of projects, services, and initiatives to identify opportunities for cost optimization including negotiation support for software licensing purchases and renewal or new vendor selection. Works with the technology leadership team to ensure we have the proper cost structure and supports the transition to a global technology team. Financial Reporting & Analysis - Provides thought leadership and related reporting of the "story behind the numbers," providing insightful and actionable perspective on underlying trends and metrics. Partners with accounting to ensure monthly reporting is accurate by collaborating on items such as accrual and timecard reviews. Prepares and presents financial data in technology QBR's and supports all technology related ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by technology and finance leadership teams. Performance Improvement - Implement continuous improvements to improve process and reporting such that team members spend more time on higher value tasks and information provided to leadership improves the speed and quality of business decisions. Candidate Profile The candidate will have an equal mix of both technology and finance aptitudes. As both a business partner and a finance advisor s/he will constantly be looking for ways to expand their influence, moving beyond the "process" of FP&A and helping lead technology to impressive results.
