Job Details Level Entry Job Location Corporate Office - Tacoma, WA Position Type Internship Education Level High School Diploma or equivalent.   Salary Range $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly Travel Percentage Negligible Job Shift Monday - Friday Description A Business Intelligence Intern for our 2024 Summer Internship Program! This is an entry-level position in our Business Intelligence department. In this internship, under direct supervision of a manager or department professional, you will learn the fundamentals of the Credit Union's enterprise reporting infrastructure, from requirements and data acquisition to dashboard development and presentation, exposing you to the daily routines and procedures of the department. Your responsibilities also include data quality review for completeness and accuracy. Additionally, you will gain a foundational understanding the skills and competencies that are essential for individual and organizational success, as well as be provided learning opportunities to better understand the Credit Union's business operations and composition. As a Business Intelligence Intern you will... Assist in defining data elements available, reporting requirements, and report validation. Assist team in creating and documenting standard operating processes and procedures. Assist in delivering business insights and solving analytical problems using BI data. Design reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions. Assist with data acquisition, consolidation, cleansing, report preparation, and dashboard creation. Assist in developing best practices in reporting and analysis, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Research and create models to analyze business problems. Provide support for existing reports, dashboards, and other BI tools. Actively participate in meetings and training programs as required Maintain intra/interdepartmental workflow by providing information to and cooperating with teammates and working on variety of special department projects as needed. Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, instant messages, and aid as necessary. Perform clerical duties, maintain files (paper or electric), and organize documents (paper or electric); scan, photocopy, fax, etc. as needed Create and organize department documents and reports, as requested Meet regularly with Manager to provide status of Learning Plan and Objectives; provide final report at end of internship term. Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Business Intelligence, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent field and have completed one full year of study; Must be 18 year
