Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated IT Release Management/QA Tester to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software solutions by overseeing the release process and performing comprehensive quality assurance testing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate software releases, execute test plans, and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the release cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage software release activities, ensuring the smooth transition of applications from development to production environments.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability across our core applications (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Dell Boomi).

  • Conduct thorough QA testing, including functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing, to identify defects and ensure software meets specified requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with development and application team members to understand release requirements, timelines, and potential risks.

  • Perform pre-release validation and post-release monitoring to ensure successful deployment and system stability.

  • Participate in release planning meetings and provide input on release readiness, identifying potential bottlenecks or issues that may affect the release process.

  • Document and communicate release procedures, configurations, and best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability in release management.

  • Utilize version control systems, bug tracking tools, and other relevant software to track and manage software defects and release versions.

  • Continuously improve release and QA processes by implementing best practices, automation, and efficiency enhancements.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in release management and QA practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Strong experience to have in Release Management & QA

  • Proven experience in software release management and quality assurance, preferably in an IT environment.

  • Proficiency in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Experience with release management tools, version control systems (e.g., Copado), and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release processes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication- both written and verbal skills in English
