The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department (MAE) at Syracuse University invites applications for a Full Professor position in the field of Advanced Manufacturing, starting in Fall 2024. Prospective candidates should possess a proven track record in the broader realm of Advanced Manufacturing, with an ability to develop a nationally and internationally recognized and externally funded research program. The department is particularly interested in individuals engaged in both fundamental and applied research within the expansive domain of advanced manufacturing. Potential research areas encompass, but are not confined to, industry 4.0, cyber-physical manufacturing systems, automation in manufacturing, additive manufacturing, micro/nano fabrication, sustainable manufacturing, modeling and simulation, digital twin, and application of advanced techniques such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
