SUNY Upstate Medical University IDM Analyst in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Support current ongoing provisioning, de-provisioning and changes to system access in a dynamic academic medical environment with a diverse population. Design, develop, implement and support the components of complex identity-based systems in the area of identity and access management, directory services, workflow, security, provisioning and compliance. Develop viable and effective technology solutions to complex business needs according to customer requirements. Provide timely response to incidents reported by customers, including participation in off-hours support rotation. Research the root cause of reported incidents for recurring patterns and develop necessary changes to the IAM/directory services solution to prevent recurrence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field and minimum of two (2) years of Identity and Access Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Strong troubleshooting skills in a distributed environment and excellent interpersonal, customer skills, and ability to work with non-technical customers required.

**Candidates who possess at least a Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience may be considered for appointment to a lower level position at a commensurate salary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT-related field and a minimum of three (3) years of Identity and Access Management experience is preferred. Experience with Novell NetIQ eDirectory, Identity Manager, Role-Based Provisioning Module and User Application in addition to coding experience with dirXML, LDAP, LDIF, Java and SQL desired. VMWare, Windows server, Active Directory and OES experience a plus.
