The Role

Working with one of our flagship Global Finance clients, you will manage all engineering systems, supervise all engineering works, oversee incident response, change management and reporting at a state-of-the-art new premium development in Sydney CBD.

Reporting to the Sydney Campus Engineering Lead and with the support of a Building Services Technician, this is an integral BAU role that builds on a successful and significant Workplace Mobilisation that has garnered a great deal of media attention.

Based in Sydney CBD.

For the successful candidate, this will be a career-defining role to support the foundations for ongoing success in 2024, following an exciting period of workplace transformation and mobilisation of a new state-of-the-art HQ.

A typical day may involve:

  • Managing and supervising all engineering works across the office floors and spaces within the building, including supervision of PPM works, whilst minimizing business interruption.

  • Oversight of the Base Building technical plant in collaboration with the Base Building technical team, ensuring that all functions operate effectively.

  • Assisting operational staff to ensure delivery of highest standard of service.

  • Liaising with the client on all engineering related matters.

  • risk management are adhered to.

  • Direct management and leadership of a Building Services Technician.

  • Collaborating on initiatives for improved contractor performance, cost efficiencies and sustainability innovations.

  • Assisting the preparation of annual Opex and Capex budgets.

  • Ensuring all works are carried out in line with client SLAs and requirements.

Requirements

  • (ESSENTIAL) - Strong technical background in Building Engineering systems within Corporate Offices.

  • (ESSENTIAL) – Ability to supervise after-hours and weekend work when necessary (time in lieu can be taken).

  • (PREFERRED) – Mechanical Engineering / Building Services degree qualified.

  • (PREFERRED) – Experience within an A-grade premium building and complex state-of-the-art building systems.

  • (PREFERRED) – Experience with building commissioning, defect rectification and document reviews.

  • Innovative mentality to look beyond existing solutions.

  • Excellent relationship and people management skills.

  • High level proficiency with MS Office Suite.
