Your Day to Day

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join our team. We are looking for a Distribution Manager to look after our 3 rd party channels in Oceania and Southeast Asia. The role will be based out of our Sydney support office and report into our Senior Director of Distribution based out of Greater China.

The core responsibility of the role is to support IHG distribution channel strategy by managing and developing distribution channels in Oceania & Southeast Asia. Focus on overall distribution channel negotiations, solutions and having relevant commercial and rate parity objectives. The position will have end-to-end distribution project implementation strategy, shaping and defining the scope of a project based on detailed analysis and knowledge of the distribution channel.

What we need from you

To be successful in this role the following skills and attributes are highly desirable.

  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree preferred; At least 5-10 years’ experience in related business development, analytics, account and project management.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to analyze markets, draw insight/conclusions.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the digital, e-commerce, project management.

  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management, and internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a business development or sales function in the assigned market segment or a similar area of business.

  • Demonstrated business/financial negotiation and influencing/consensus building skills.

  • A successful track record of executing complex business projects and leading cross-functional project teams.

  • Possess quality research and analytical skills and have the creativity to turn findings into compelling content.

  • Good communication and presentation skill, preferred native Japanese speaker, fluent speak and written in
