About the role:

The Commercial Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic commercial initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and assisting the commercial team in achieving business objectives. This role requires a strong blend of analytical skills and critical thinking to ensure that the company’s commercial operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with overall business goals.

The role involves working across four key functions: Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Demand Planning. In the Commercial function, the analyst must support the diverse needs of both Off and On Trade sectors, assisting in the development of tools and processes for Business Development Managers (BDMs), account managers, and various customer segments. The role requires the ability to collaborate with partners across different teams, focusing on both pivotal initiatives and addressing day-to-day operational challenges within the commercial team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owning core commercial processes and acting as single point of contact for sampling stock, bonus stock and pricing approvals: Ensure these processes are stable and work to transitioning these processes offshore and then maintain SLAs agreed.

  • Ensure the smooth running of innovation and shopper marketing processes: Work with brand, premix and glass excellence teams to ensure we have one platform that is clear to communicate programs to both Nationals and Indies field teams.

  • Support the processes relating to the Commercial Incentive Programme (SIP): Perform analysis on the performance and effectiveness on the current cycle and recommend changes to the future cycle. Facilitate the process to start/close cycles, review overrides and implement payments.

  • Performance analysis and ad hoc reporting: Identify areas of course correction required using performance data. Review past initiative’s performance and ensure findings are understood and acted upon

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • A Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial planning, operations, or a related role within a fast-paced business environment.

  • Proven track record of implementing process improvement enabling a more efficient commercial organisation.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights to commercial teams.

  • Proficiency in commercial planning tools, CRM systems, and data analytics software.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
