Description

Robert Half is looking for an ambitious Controller to join a well-respected services company. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the South Jersey region.

What you get to do every single day

  • Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

  • Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports

  • Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

  • Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required

    Requirements

The ideal Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial management required.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP with the ability to apply principles effectively.

  • Experience with Quickbooks.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
