Philips Firmware Lead Designer-MR in Suzhou, China

Firmware Lead Designer-MR

The position is in Philips Suzhou and will play a critical role in the development of firmware. The right candidate will have a unique opportunity to create innovative designs. The position will suit a skilled engineer ideally familiar with MCU, FPGA, digital signal processing, control theory and its related technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for embedded hardware (FPGA, MCU etc.) product planning, definition, design, development (schematic design, hardware debugging, hardware-related software development, revision, and maintenance work)

  • Lead the design of FPGA/MCU development, including algorithm, logic, and control/data protocol. For example, power sequence, control bus handling and converting (I2C, SPI…), clock & synchronization, data processing, control algorithm for power amplifier etc.

  • Detailed design delivery for control system (technical product spec, DFMEA, control system architecture, design review, firmware validation & verification, etc.) during PDLM execution.

  • Work with global or local technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects, or initiatives.

You're the right fit if:

·Automation, Digital Signal Processing, Electronics, Communication or related background.

·Solid Knowledge of MCU and FPGA, Familiar with Linux or RTOS.

·Solid knowledge of digital signal processing or control theory.

·Solid Knowledge of using simulation tools and implementation tools such as MATLAB and SIMULINK.

·Committed to good design and have a good eye for detail.

·Strive to ensure designs are completed within the agreed timeframe to a high standard.

·Good communication skills to help work well within a multi-disciplinary R&D team.
