       License and Certification Qualifications: None required.Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Three years in an office/clerical environment required. Experience in an information technology environment preferred.Skills Qualifications: Ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately; ability to communicate with others in an effective and tactful manner; ability to work well with school personnel; ability to detect and correct errors in standard English language usage; strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; proficient in keyboard and typing skills; strong editing, formatting, graphics, and proofreading skills; flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner; proficient in office productivity software such as the Microsoft Office Suite and creativity in developing semi-automated solutions utilizing these tools; and willingness to learn new software applications.Primary Responsibilities: Provide clerical support in the organization and implementation of information technology functions in the IT Business and Resource Management Department.1. Perform general administrative duties for the IT Business and Resource Management Department.a. Assist with accurate financial/accounting records for budget as assigned.b. Assist with work orders and/or purchase orders as assigned.c. Type various forms, reports, memos, and letters in a timely manner as assigned.d. Transcribe various reports, forms, memos, and letters from manuscripts as assigned.e. File various correspondence, reports, forms, and publications in an accurate and orderly fashion.f. Operate routine office machinery including, but not limited to, scanners, photocopiers, computers, and fax machines.g. Assist in compiling and preparing for staff meetings and conferences.h. Maintain adequate supplies in the department's supply cabinets.i. Requisition supplies as authorized through established procedures.j. Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and appointments as directed.k. Reserve building or online conference rooms as directed.2. Communicate in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.a. Cooperate with and maintain a positive relationship with other employees of the offices to which assigned.b. Cooperate with and maintain a positive relationship with all other school system employees.c. Cooperate with and maintain a positive relationship with members of the community and with members of other organizations.d. Provide exemplary customer service to all contacts.3. Maintain familiarity and a general working knowledge of departmental functions and responsibilities.a. Assist in maintaining asset deliverables.b. Assist with the receiving and logging of hardware and software.c. Establish and maintain a general knowledge of district policies and procedures.d. Review, as necessary, materials produced to help ensure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity to system standards.e. Perform technology associated duties as may be assigned by personnel who are in the line of supervision.4. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
