Google People Partner, ML, Systems and Cloud AI in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 12 years of experience as an HR business partner or generalist supporting leaders at global companies.

  • Experience working as a management consultant, working with external clients.

  • Experience in organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning and organizational design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of current and future processes needed to pursue continuous improvement in HR and Talent policies and practices.

  • Ability to garner consensus from internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, surrounding new ideas and strategies.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across audiences, situations, and contexts in both a written and verbal format.

As a People Partner, you will address complex organizational challenges, aligning our solutions with Google Cloud's mission to digitally transform businesses through people-focused strategies. As integral members of the leadership team, we serve as thought leaders, implementing Google Cloud's People Strategy and empowering our organization to flourish.

The ML, Cloud Systems and AI organization is responsible for delivering outstanding compute, platforms and tools powering Google's AI-first products, research, and cloud at a scale. We build the technical foundation behind Google’s products as well as for Google Cloud’s compute and AI/ML offerings and manage the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $202,000-$287,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Prepare leaders and teams to embrace organizational change, shaping and executing comprehensive people plans.

  • Manage clear communication of people strategies and implement organizational changes to achieve desired business goals.

  • Translate company-wide OKRs into actionable plans tailored to the specific needs of the client organization, providing feedback to identify potential gaps.

  • Identify talent gaps, organizational shortcomings, and people needs that could hinder business strategy execution; use this analysis to guide resourcing and development initiatives.

  • Support the selection and development of talent, and actively drive organizational health improvements through trend monitoring, cultural analysis, and promotion of a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
