Robert Half Controller in Summerville, South Carolina

Description

We are inviting applications for the position of a Controller in the manufacturing sector located in Summerville, South Carolina. The role involves overseeing financial policies and procedures, preparing regular forecasts, annual budgets, and financial reports, and managing insurance needs and contracts. This role also requires active participation in weekly meetings to report on finances and insurance and overseeing the year-end audit process.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret P& L, balance sheets, and other accounting reports on a monthly and year-end basis.

• Collaborate with various departments such as Sales, Production, Distribution to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and improve efficiency for profit optimization.

• Prepare regular forecasts and annual budgets.

• Coordinate and generate all financial reports including variances analysis and financial narratives against prior year, forecast, and budget targets.

• Track, review, and reconcile inventory with ERP and financial software.

• Manage Insurance needs, contracts, and relationships.

• Maintain accurate sales tax documents and filings.

• Oversee 401K plan structure and administration.

• Develop and promote a culture of continuous process improvement and automation.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in Month End Close, Analyze Financial Statements, Audit - Financial, Annual Forecasts, Budgeting - Forecasting, Cash Flow Forecasts, MS Dynamics NAV, Inventory Analysis is essential.

Requirements • Proficiency in performing Month End Close operations

• Capability to Analyze Financial Statements accurately and efficiently

• Experience with Audit - Financial procedures

• Expertise in creating Annual Forecasts

• Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting

• Ability to create and manage Cash Flow Forecasts

• Proficiency in using MS Dynamics NAV

• Experience in Inventory Analysis

• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

• Proficiency in Controller functions within the manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
