BASIC PURPOSE

The Events Attendant plays a significant role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by providing excellent customer service. As the Events Attendant, you are the host and the face of our organization. You will be responsible for the overall guest experience by providing friendly and service-oriented hospitality, managing logistics and delivering an exceptional experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival.

  • Assist guests with special requests or needs throughout the event.

  • Address and resolve any guest concerns that arise during the event.

  • Handle feedback from guests with professionalism and diplomacy.

  • Maintain a positive and “can do” demeanor with guests at all times.

  • Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces as directed by the Events Sales & Rentals Manager.

  • Ensure that the event space is well-maintained and cleaned throughout the event.

  • Monitor the event for timeliness.

  • Assist Events Sales & Rentals Manager with gathering feedback from guests after the event.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database.

  • Service-oriented team player who can take initiative, work independently and quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Meet established deadlines.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends as required by the events schedule.

  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

  • Must have ability to empathize, communicate, and work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle

  • Must be 21 years or older.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check to include a DOJ Livescan Fingerprint check.

E. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.

  • Able to grasp, push, and/or pull objects.

  • Capable of reaching overhead.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Able to operate a computer.

  • Capacity to process written, visual, and/or verbal information.
