Universal Health Services Director of Plant Operations in STUART, Florida

Coral Shores Behavioral Hospital is an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Stuart, FL, and provides inpatient treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each patient case and their family's needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Director of Plant Operations will work Monday thru Friday; on-call as needed. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Job Description & Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates and maintains management programs, which ensure the safe and reliable operation of the physical plant and technology of the facility and provides services that support the residential environment of care

  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and The Joint Commission regulations as they pertain to the physical facility and safety standards

  • Implements facility-wide safety program including a system for inspections and corrections

  • Serves as Safety Officer and organizes, chairs, and implements all phases of facility Safety Committee including required regulatory documentation and reporting processes

  • Supervises the Plant Operations Department

  • Supervises the Environmental Services Department

  • Responsible for Transportation and Security

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • At least 3 years of related experience required

    Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of hospital accreditation and licensure standards and processes

  • Demonstrated management and supervisory skills preferred

  • Healthcare facilities management experience preferred

  • Demonstrated organizational skills required

  • Experience working in a leadership role within a multidisciplinary setting preferred

  • Working knowledge of physical plant operations and systems, preventative maintenance and safety policies/practice (i.e. OSHA standards, NFPA codes and standards, emergency preparedness, safety drills, etc.)

  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information in written and oral format to upper management, staff, and operations team

  • Ability to present well and relate professionally to a diverse array of constituents

  • Service industry experience and experience managing vendors, obtaining bids, etc. a plus
