Field Service Technician

Salary: Based on Experience

Location: Sterling Heights

Travel: Required as needed, up to 75% (mostly local)

DIRECT HIRE

Field Service Technician needed for a local machine tool builder and a global supplier of innovative CNC machines for various industries. This position will report to the Sterling Heights, MI office daily, however, there will be daily travel to customer locations.

Duties:

• Perform Electrical and Mechanical repairs of CNC Machines

• Perform function tests and any other relevant work to ensure quality repairs

• Perform machine set up and installation

• In-house machine repair and maintenance

• In-house machine start up and testing

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong Electrical and Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems both mechanical and electrical

• Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills both high and low voltage

• Excellent problem solving skills

• Willingness to travel. Travel to local, domestic and international locations. Valid driver's license is required.

• Self-motivator with strong attention to detail

• Commitment to being a team player with flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems, schedules and changes

• Great interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work well with demanding customers in a tight tolerance environment

• Good computer skills and knowledge of Windows OS

Preferred Control Knowledge:

• Tarus CNC

• Fidia

• Fanuc

• Heidenhain TNC 530 and 640

• Siemens 840D and SINUMERIK ONE
