DCS Corporation Electrical Systems Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan

This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering ground combat vehicles for the US Army.  Working as a DCS employee co-located in Warren Michigan, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of manned & unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation. Essential Job Functions: Apply engineering skills in multi-disciplinary research projects for ground combat vehicles, where knowledge and experience in embedded systems development and integration, vehicle sensors, machine learning, autonomous navigation, and other related subjects will be leveraged to support manned systems development and testing for DoD communities. Direct customer contact and relationship management are extremely important; therefore, candidate should be personable, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. Evaluate the implementation and provide suggestions for improvement of System Requirements, System Architecture and Subsystems Design of US Army Ground Vehicle's data transmission and embedded processing. Development of new System Requirements, System Architecture and Subsystems Design that will be utilized for implementing embedded software solutions within vehicle electronic components.  This includes the use and creation of any necessary interface control documents, communication protocols and user interface documents. Position may require the candidate to lead programs or sub-project and interact with the clients to comprehend and decompose complicated platform requirements into structured and manageable engineering specifications across multiple engineering disciplines. Develop and/or provide input to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs and schedule. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 5 years of experience. Electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering experience. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Desired Skills: Working knowledge of system engineering on DoD ground combat vehicles. Experience with the ground combat vehicles. Experience working with TACOM, PEO Ground Combat Systems and PEO offices within the Army Materiel Command. Understanding of the Army acquisition process.
