About you and this role

We are seeking anElectrical Design Engineer (m/f/d) at our location inStade, Germany,who will be the cornerstone of our project teams, offering specialized technical support and solutions for operations and maintenance. In this role, you will be a recognized technical expert in your field and a leader on projects.

You thrive on independence, guiding your work with minimal supervision, and have a knack for problem-solving. You will be deeply involved in the application of technology, tackling complex issues head-on, and leading technical problem-solving initiatives to deliver value for Dow.

As part of our global team, you will have the opportunity to continuously improve Dow’s technology standards and best practices. In the capacity of a project lead, you will apply your excellent understanding of industrial and corporate standards, discipline work processes, and associated best practices to deliver safe, cost-effective, and efficient solutions that meet the business opportunity plan for both intermediate and large projects.

Responsibilities

  • You serve as the lead electrical engineer of the project, holding accountability for project results and for the implementation of and adherence to all relevant work processes and best practices.

  • You drive front end loading (FEED / FEL) to ensure clear scope definition, establishing staffing plans and schedules to enable adequate control during execution.

  • You develop staffing plans, direct activities within your discipline, and coordinate activities with other disciplines. For projects which utilize engineering firms, you collaborate with your counterpart at the EPC.

  • You lead the completion of deliverables provided to estimating and review the output of the estimate to ensure accurate reflection of scope.

  • You ensure your deliverables meet the needs of the project: functioning as intended, on time, and within budget.

  • You lead technical contract package development and support its implementation.

  • You drive economic designs to ensure the best value is delivered to the business.

  • You use and enforce the project change management program.

  • You ensure safety in design.

Qualifications

  • You hold a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • You have 5 to 10 years of experience in project design.

  • You are fluent in German and have a good command of English.
