Emerson Manager Talent Planning in St. Louis, Missouri

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking individual to join our team! The Manager Talent Planning role can work a hybrid schedule at one of our major US Emerson sites such as Missouri, Texas, Minneapolis, Iowa, Illinois or Pennsylvania. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing talent planning strategies and initiatives to ensure the organization has the right talent in the right roles at the right time. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and HR leaders to identify current and future talent needs, drive workforce planning efforts, and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the development and implementation of talent planning strategies, processes, and tools to support organizational goals and objectives.

  • Partner with senior leadership, HR, and business leaders to conduct ongoing talent assessments and workforce planning activities to identify current and future talent needs and gaps.

  • Support the identification, management, and development of high-potential talent pools, including conducting talent assessments, identifying high-potential employees, and developing targeted development plans to nurture and retain top talent.

  • Lead the organization review process to identify critical roles, succession plans, organization issues, and high-potential employees.

  • Partner with HR leaders to drive talent connect councils globally, regionally, and functionally to ensure we are driving cross-enterprise talent sharing.

  • Analyze talent data and metrics to track key talent indicators, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for talent planning strategies and initiatives.

  • Partner with HR to ensure talent planning efforts are aligned with other HR functions, including performance management, learning and development, and total rewards.

  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and ensure DEI considerations are integrated into all talent planning efforts.

  • Stay current on talent management trends, best practices, and industry benchmarks, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

You adapt quickly to changing conditions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3 years of experience in talent management, workforce planning, or related HR function.

  • Strong understanding of talent planning principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Prior experience analyzing data to develop strategies and initiatives

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in talent management, workforce planning, or related HR function.

  • Experience developing and implementing strategies and initiatives in a complex organizational environment.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and talent management software.
